Gravy beef is a cut that comes from the front leg (also known as the shin). Rich in flavour, it is traditionally used for excellent stews and soups or cholent, and is an inexpensive cut that will cook well in a shorter period of time (1.5 hours). When the bone is left in, Gravy beef is called Osso Bucco, which you might have seen in some Italian dishes. This piece of meat makes it easy to cook soomething up quickly for friends or family.
